Dr. Robert Koons, professor or Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, has decided to swim the Tiber along with Dr. Beckwith. Fortunately, there doesn’t seem to be the same amout of vitriol there was when Frank spoke of his decision.

I wasn’t surprised to see this coming at all. I read a few papers by Koons last year concerning Lutheranism and Thomism (two positions that I previously thought were mutually exclusive), and saw hints of him leaning towards Catholicism in most of them. Eleonore Stump did the same thing a few years ago.
I think the reason there is less hoopla is that Koons wasn’t the president of a major evangelical group, like the ETS.
